The University Of Nicosia (UNIC) is the first and the largest Medical School in Cyprus with more than 600 students coming from all around the world. Located in the heart of Nicosia, the facilities make the University of Nicosia Medical School a fantastic place to learn.
The University of Nicosia (UNIC) is considered to be the largest university in Cyprus. UNIC’s modern campus is made up of 20 purpose-built and refurbished buildings situated amid the urban landscape in the bustling suburb of Engomi in Nicosia.
The University of Nicosia is also the first university in Cyprus to be ranked by QS World University Rankings, placing number 91 in Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) Region.
The Medical Faculty includes academics and clinicians trained in medical education, who have teaching experience in Cyprus and abroad. The excellent student support services available in the University make its students feel like they are at home from day one.
The University offers the following for its applicants:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD): 6-year degree for High School Graduates
- Bachelor in Medicine, Bachelor in Surgery (MBBS): 4-Year degree for candidates holding a bachelor’s Degree from any discipline – awarded by St George’s, University of London
- Post Graduate Diploma (PgDip)
- Master of Science (MSc) in Family Medicine: For Doctors in practice, delivered online
The tuition for the new students of the academic year 2021-22 is based on the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), which provides a clear and transparent method of calculating the semester and yearly tuition (based on the number of ECTS registered per semester/year).
The tuition fee is €18,000 for each of the first 3 years and €22,000 for each of the remaining 3 years for Doctor of Medicine, MD.
